Online Advertising

Where to Advertise

Welcome to my page. This page here, will talk about where you can advertise your business, product or services. Advertising may be new to you, if you are a start-up. I will suggest some places where you can put your business - whether it is online or offline. You can also advertise your websites as well as any services you provide. Some will be free methods and others may require some form of payment. In the long run, advertising, whether free or paid is good.

Google Adwords

Using Adwords is one of the most popular places to advertise. It is Pay per click advertising where you find the most searched keywords using 'Google Keyword Ideas Tool' that are relevant to your website or service. So for example if you are an estate agent selling or renting properties, you would use the keyword tool to find out what most people are searching for. These keywords could be 'houses to rent' or flats for sale'. You then buy your adverts with Google and every time someone clicks on your text advert in the search engine, you pay per click from the amount you have put in your account. The more popular the keyword is, the more expensive the click will be. You ads can also appear on other websites too.

Yahoo Advertising

Yahoo advertising is similar to Google Adwords. They specialise in advertising on the internet and mobile apps. They have lots of resources available and if you do feel that your business is worthy of advertising then you can email them to find out more. Yahoo concentrates more on big businesses, so bear that in mind when considering Yahoo.

Chitika

Chitika is a good advertising company that gives their advertisers an opportunity to promote their services or businesses to over 300,000 publishers. Your adverts will be placed on peoples' websites when they arrive at your site via the search engines using a keyword; so if someone searches for 'houses for sale' and the publisher has chitika ads placed on their site there is a chance that your site could be advertised, and the visitor may click through to your site.

Infolinks

Infolinks is also a lot like all those mentioned above. It has a same pay per click scheme. The available
forms of advertising are Insearch, Intext, Intag and Inframe. In my opinion Infolinks is a unique advertising company and they have quality controlled publishers. The platform used analyses search terms and web content in real time and focuses on the users intent, so it gives you a really good chance for click a through.

Classified Ads

Classified advertising is a method that can be used to promote products and services. It can be local or international. It used to be popular in newspapers, but now it is a form of online advertising. So, if you own an estate agency business selling  houses and renting flats, you could place your ad in a classified ad site where people and potential customers look for particular services, like 'flats to rent in London' your ad that you have submitted to the classified ad site will come up in the search result. There sites like Craigslist, Gumtree and are good places to submit an advert to.

Forums

Forums are also great places to go. Forums are free most of the time are free and many people use them on a regular basis. All you have to do is register and sign up - well that's not all - you have to interact with the users and really build up an audience. Forum advertising is an effective way to promote your services and businesses because many people like to browse them. A forum like Forum Free Ads is a good place to start. This site specialises in advertising - and it's free!

YouTube

Now, everybody knows that YouTube is one of the most popular websites on the internet today. The world of video marketing has also grown because of this; it would be a good idea to get some videos together about your niche. So if you are an estate agent, why not make a video letting people know how to choose a flat and what they can expect when new to renting or buying a house? In the video you can direct them to your site. This is a good way to generate sales because you are providing free information and gaining potential customers at the same time.

Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is another great way to gain some extra traffic for free there are thousands of social bookmarking websites like; digg, delicious, stumbleupon etc. This works best with blog post as a way of marketing your blog to gain readers to eventually refer them to your main site or even affiliate links placed in your articles.
